Thanks for sharing both your words and images. One year at the vernal equinox, my ex and I, and friends took our Xmas tree out to my little cabin (The Hermitage) and we built a big bonfire with the tree in the center and sang songs as the tree blazed like the sun. It was in MN. We still stood deep in snow, but we celebrated the light eclipsing the dark. Later fine food was shared and wine flowed freely. Thanks for bringing those memories back.
I am an unrepentent bookworm and seldom watch TV except for evening news. Movies with happy endings that don't scare me are an alternative to books. Photography is something I'm trying to master though I still cannot figure out my late Dad's world-traveling old Argus with it's light meter, F stops, etc. I do OK with my Canon point and shoot but would love to try something with a big, long lens!

You're quite welcome, James. Sounds like a grand way to dispose of a beloved Christmas Tree: in a blaze of glory!!
